Save Your Pop Tabs
To Help Build and Sustain Evansville’s Ronald McDonald House Serving Tri-State Families!
The Ronald McDonald House of Evansville serves families, whose children require care at area hospitals and medical centers, by offering them a home-like atmosphere where they can get the rest and renewal they need to be most supportive of their sick or injured child. It is anticipated that they will serve over 1,000 needy children and families throughout the Region per year!
Once again, Marrs Student Council will be heading up the efforts to collect pop tabs for Evansville’s Ronald McDonald House. We will be collecting and recycling the tabs from aluminum cans. Student Council members will be placing collection containers in each classroom. We will be having a classroom competition to see which class can collect the most pop tabs by the end of the school year. The winning class will receive a prize courtesy of the Student Council.
There is no need to count your tabs. Once the tabs are collected, they will be weighed and packaged (1 pound = 1,000 pop tabs). We will deliver them to a local recycling center where a check will be issued to the Evansville Ronald McDonald House.
Collecting tabs is a great way for all of us to really make a difference in the lives of families and children in need, not to mention learning about the importance of recycling. Thank you so much for participating in this worthwhile cause!
